I noticed that people weren’t punching me enough, so I started talking about how unique I was more often. This is an easy non-verbal way to point it out.

I stumbled across a comic on the that said “I like my women like I like my oatmeal packets…..quick, easy, and covered in dinosaur facts.” So my husband said “Baby, please get a dinosaur tattoo lol” I had previously found this picture and fell in love with how elementary it was. I have 7 tattoos and this is, by far, my favorite. I got it done at Skin Grafix in Goldsboro, NC by the lovely Julie. She’s the greatest :)
I paid extra to make sure my tattoo looked as much like it was done with sharpies as possible. It fits my quirky personality to a t! LOL.

I saw Scarface once. It was the coolest thing I’ve ever seen. Did you know they used to put movies on these reel things? Yeah! Like the whole movie on one or two. What? No used to. Lol dude they use dvds now.
This tattoo is of my design and is very close to me. I absolutely love daisies, as they mean hope and friendship and aspiration to me. The saying, “Gaudemus Igitur Iuvenes Dum Sumus” is Latin and means “let us rejoice while we are young”. Youthfulness has always been a priority of mine and I choose to remain young in mind for as long as I shall live. The tattoo was achieved at Body Ink Emporium in Terre Haute, Indiana by a phenomenal artist, Max Egy. I absolutely adore it and he went far beyond what I expected. This is my first tattoo and I am sure to get more, as this first one has given me the motive to do so.
I am a tool. A tool who says achieved about tattoo completion. A tool who uses microsoft default font choices on my back, forever.
I got my lobster finished up and my bear started while I was on R&R from Afghanistan. I always get questions wondering why I have a bear juggling human limbs while riding a unicycle or why I have a roided out lobster on me. My answer is always the same. Because I wanted to. I don’t think you need to have some elaborate, drawn out reason for a tattoo. Someone doesn’t have to die in your family or get cancer to have something tattooed. Tattoos don’t require a meaning. You can just like art on you. I’d rather get something awesome and original than try to put meaning to that 3 inch flash of a pink butterfly that you saw and had to get ‘cause it was soooo cute…but wait..no meaning..um someone’s cousin had a ferret that bit a neighbor and then 15 years later she got cancer and she liked butterflies…that’s my reason. This butterfly now has meaning. Fuck that. My tattoos are awesome, I like them, that’s my reason. Artist is Shaun Smith at Tattoo Voodoo in Pughkeepsie, NY.
